i have fixed up a dell running windows xp standard for my girlfriend as a christmas gift. she is in school and i am sure she will need some of the windows office tools. But i am broke :o , and i was wondering if there is a good free alternative to windows office as it costs just too much for me right now. any suggestions?

ok thanx very much! i'll try open office. she has already used her one cheap softeware purchase. she doesn't get another apparently. open office will work until i can affford office. cheers!
