I am going to purchase a cheap tablet, notebook, netbook or laptop for programming and web browsing when i am not at my main computer i have a low budget of £250, i was thinking maybe a samsung chromebook with ubunto on it, but if it was you what would you get?

Personally I am not a fan of the Chromebook simply because of the Google Chrome OS. The Samsung Galaxy Tablet is a nice piece of gear at a good price. We have outfit a few of our guys with them aside from their laptops and have had good results. Although I am not sure what type of programming you are looking to do, or how that would work out on a tablet or mobile OS.
