Had problem with browser not working properly. Usually the following occured: server not found or problem loading page. Went to control panel, programs and features and uninstalled a lot of adware programs etc. Download anything on the internet and you will have uninvited guests. Uninstalled programs and browser now works.

Depends on where you browse and download from. If you download illegal stuff then yes, you will most likely get viruses and malware.
