hi,

i am getting error in launching the application from one of our Windows Xp machine.

i am getting this error on machine "There was an error in application: retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {4590F811-1D3A-11D0-891F-00AA004B2E24} failed due to the following error: 80040514".

i have checked this GUID in registry and i found this for "C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\wbemprox.dll" file.

is their is need to install any component on this machine?

Please help me to resolve this issue.

Hi Virendra_sw

I did a little google for the error message, and found quite a variety of things.

The only thing that stood out that may cause this issue is compatability problems between different software.

For example if you are running two versions of Office etc.

Have you installed any software recently?

Can you confirm which OS your running?

If you have installed new software, look for issues with older versions on your PC maybe...
