hi all, my computer is not downloading anything ive googled it and followed some advice but it doesnt work. i have no idea why it wont download. i managed to download 1 thing and thought it was fixed but it stopped again. also when i press 1 key im getting @ signs ive tried regional settings to no avail. but the main problem is downloading. thanks*(forgot to add its the second computer in a network incase that means anything_) damn this keyboard is grrr

Try this one.

1. Go to Tools --> Internet Settings.
2. Click on the Security tab.
3. Click on Custom Level.
4. Enable the "Automatic prompting for file downloads" option in the Download section.

Check also your firewall settings. There is also an option preventing your system to download anything.

i just tried what you said but i still cant download. ill check my norton firewall or if anyon else has any ideas.
