I downloaded from MS repair link that I've seen in another thread. It brought back the listing in the device manager but it has a yellow exclamation point there. My CD/DVD player still does not show up in My Computer. What now? Help.....!

You need to visit the web site for the manufacturer of your CD/DVD player and see if they have an updated driver for your OS and that CD/DVD player.
