Here Goes:

All of a sudden, here in the last 48 hours, I am unable to connect to one of my servers via direct IP, and have no idea why. The server has been active for several months, and I've been able to connect to it fine up until now.

All other functions of my Internet work fine, and I'm even able to browse the sites that are hosted on the server with no problem. However, anytime that I try to connect via FTP (various clients), SSH (Putty), or WHM/cPanel using either the hostname or IP, I simply get a timeout as it attempts to resolve the IP. Pings and Tracerts return the same result: "Destination Host Unreachable". I'm able to Ping and Tracert other servers and other sites, such as Yahoo, Google, and even my other servers in the same data center: just not the same IP range. There are 8 IPs for the server, and I'm unable to connect to any of them.

Using my laptop and plugging into the same modem, I can connect to the server just fine, and I'm not having any issues with connecting from my office computers, so it's pointing to a problem on the local computer. I just can't figure out what it is.

As for solutions, I've tried most of the standards: resets, repairing the connection, ipconfig /release /renew /flushdns, and resetting my modem (using a SBC Speedstream 5100 DSL modem with no router), dropping my firewalls, and even adding a route via the route command (although I have little experience with it and can't guarantee 100% that I did it correctly) and so on, all multiple times, all to no effect.

Any ideas here guys?
