I have wireless network installed in my office. The device used for networking is Linksys wireless adapter. All the computers in the network are shown in My Network Places instead one. That computer is pinging all the others computers and all other computers ping that but the icon of that computer is not shown in My Network places. I have changed the IP address of that computer and also repaired the network connection but things remained the same.

Do you have a long entry in your Computer Description field (under my computer/computer name)? Microsoft limits the length of this field and evidently any extra characters will overwrite the icon and it will show as blanks...not sure if this applies to you but it's worth a try. zeroth
