Hello all.
I have a Win98 machine connected to the same ISP as my XP machine. They have separate IP's. I can connect from the XP machine to the Win98 machine but it always blanks out after I put the password in when accessing a file share. I am assuming the password is wrong. I know it see's it on the machine, just don't know why the passwords are not working.
I have set the read only password and the full access password on the Win98 machine. I have tried renaming it to a different share name and different passwords as well and I just cannot hit this share. The firewall on the XP machine is disabled and there isn't one on the Win98 machine at all. Please help, this should be a no brainer.
I have tried using 'connect as a different user...' but I am unsure of what I use for a login because with Win98 you usually just put in a password for windows networking in the past. Maybe I'm having a brain fart but this should be easy.
