here's what i'm working with:
The wifi is working on other computers, so i know the problem is not with the cable modem or netgear wireless router. However, on one box, a dell dimension DE051 desktop with WinXP Home edition (version 2002, service pack 2 installed), I have a Linksys WUSB11 USB network adapter, that is showing that it is connected, yet i can't ping anything. signal strength is fine. it does show transfer of a very small amount of packets, but i can't get any data transfer, myself.
looking at some of the other forums, I've run some tests and i'll post what i got below.
