sir want to make a software in which computers are there connected via LAN and a server is there, so if any user wants to access internet he will open internet explorer, by opening the internet explorer a page will open which will ask for userID and password and when user will provide it then he/she can access the internet. the software will monitor the user that which site he is accessing and saves the information on the database. and if the user will access any unwanted site then the software will give alert on the server in form of popup.

so0 please guide me on this topic and tell me that is it posible to complete in 4 months.

linux server with a proxy server , some content filters and something like squid for cahing would be my option

i suppose you could do it using Windoes server 2003 as well
