I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 that quit charging the other day. Thought it was the ac adapter, so I swapped the adapter with another E1505 I have at the house. Both adapters were good, the 6000 just acted as if nothing was plugged in. I replaced the power adapter port on the mother board after reading somewhere that they are notorious for going bad. It did not help. I have a new battery (4 months old) and new ac adapter (3 months old). At a loss, but hoping someone out there can give me some idea's.

It sounds like the connection on the motherboard is still not right. This is a major problem with most laptops.
