Did you try to run/Ipconfig? If not do the following below:
1. Windows XP/2000/98/ME
2. For Windows XP/2000 Click Start-Run, type CMD and click OK. For Windows 98/ME click Start-Run, and type command then click OK.
3. Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
4. Now that the current IP Address is set to all zeros, type ipconfig /renew. If you had to type ipconfig /release_all on the previous step, type ipconfig /renew_all on this step.
5. You should now see numbers instead of all zeros. The number must be start with 10. If any of the numbers start with 192, you must follow the process again or call Information Services for more help. Seek help on your service provider (Internet )
Good luck with it

Click on RETRY to have the process wait while attaching a debugger manually. Click on CANCEL to abort the JIT debug request. Clicked CANCEL.
Workaround:
Windows 7 comes packaged with Microsoft Net Framework 2.0 and 3.0, but not version 1.1, which may still required by some application such as QuickBooks 7, GFI Report Packs, VS.NET 2003, InstallShield 11.5, and many other developed software. However, when trying to install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 (dotnetfx.exe) on Windows Vista or Windows 7, one or more error message similar to one of the following text will appear, and stop or prevent setup installation of .NET Framework 1.1 from continuing successfully.
Thus, the workaround to fix the Microsoft.NET Framework 1.1. Installation error on Vista is to slipstream .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 into .NET Framework 1.1 installer, so that both the .NET Framework and the Service Pack can be installed at the same time.

Hi there,
I have programs like:
Calculator for Tablet PC (I have a Toshiba Tablet Portege M400 I think)
And handwriting analysis for Tablet PC.and many more. I'm afraid to delete them, as I do not use them and never will, but at the same time am worrying that if I do delete it, will it stuff up my laptop?
Any ideas, help or anything?
FoxTint.
You can't really remove software just because you don't use: Software Engineers, programmers, and software developers they spend years developing apps. Surely would be redundant if they put apps and none uses or they apps for fun.
First of all the reason why you have handwriting analysis
Basically, the input panel will constantly re-analyze the current line that you're writing on as you add new strokes. So if you write Hello and it's recognized as Hello, by the time you get to the end of the line, the input panel may have determined that you meant to write Help instead …..And so on.
I hope I have answered your question correctly.

Hi,
I was replying to this post by Rafael Carrion, telling him he had jumped on your thread and that he should post on his own thread, and when he does, to supply more information about his PC and his problem not to just copy yours and repost it.
Sorry dude:-)
HI,
You have hijacked a thread that is very old (May), please open your own thread with more information about your PC and someone here will try and assist you OK
What you are talking about ?
Thinka
However, 193 countries in the world and "Nigeria “was the first that came to mind in connection with fraud? Uncool.
That’s the problem did you though about Russia or Latvia or Bulgaria? They are number one when comes to fraud too. So don’t assume just because some Nigerians use the internet for fraud makes them number one. Just think these for moment 146 million people are Nigerian can you imagine if were all fraudster??

Seems good but whats the catch?
Hi guys,
I downloaded from niwradsoft.blogspot.com and installed software (Seven Remix XP 2.1; aero shake; Aero Snap; Shortcuts Windows 7) to provide a Windows XP that look Windows 7
Works fine the only problem I have now is whenever I try to run and executable:
1) For instance I’m trying to installed Blackberry desktop software and I get the following error below:
The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\SHELL32.dll occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.
Computer specification:
Windows XP pro
Service Pack 3
Symantec endpoint protection 11.0
Any assistance or ideas would be great I’m just a bit annoyed I have tried everything to resolve the problem but to no avail
Couple of questions here, did you personally add all those addresses to Trusted Sites? Is your ISP lisney.com? Have you done a general clean up....temp files, cookies, etc? Have you done a disk defrag lately? Is the computer only slow when online or all the time?
Thanks mate this seemes to done the trick
''I just done a disk defrag''
Thanks mate that worked
Much appreciated your help
Thanks jholland1964,
Well the PC is very slow. Especially when running Outlook or word or any other application.
My initial thought was the Symantec anti-virus software Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 then I removed for while and the issue continued PC still slow.
As you can see from the log file there’s nothing that is out of normal application.
I hope this helps if you cant help is fine two.
The 403 Forbidden error displays inside the Internet browser window, just as web pages do.
Cause
The 403 Forbidden errors is an HTTP status code that means that accessing the page or resource you were trying to reach is absolutely forbidden for some reason.
Resolution
Check for URL errors and make sure the actual web page is specified. The most common reason for a web site to return the 403 Forbidden errors is if the URL is pointing to a directory instead of a web page.
If you're sure the page you're trying to reach is correct, the 403 Forbidden error message may be a mistake. At this point it's probably in your best
If some companies don’t allow access certain pages on the web if you are trying to access from home and you get the 403 forbidden then contact the webmaster on the page. Then if its from work and you cannot access or your colleague then contact the IT system administrator
Hello 4ukh,
This is my advise to you:
Best Small Office Network for email usage:
First for most you need Internet services and this you can easily shop around depending what part of the world you are:
1) Internet is a must (And good internet connection)
2) Installations of Microsoft Outlook, with POP3/SMTP e-mail handled by a third party (usually their Internet Service Providers).
3) Bear in mind one thing thou:
a) DSL or Broadband
DSL (Digital Subscriber Line)/Broadband is a relatively new technology, which brings high connection speeds to normal analogue telephone users. It is basically the telecom answer to cable.
DSL comes in two forms:
· Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL), - provides different upload and download speeds (most common)
· Symmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (SDSL)- provides the same speed in both directions
Monthly Cost: Starts at approx. £13-£30 for ADSL per month (depending what country in world you are in UK that’s what costs)
Speed: 128Kbps - 1Mbps
Hardware Requirements: DSL modem (often included). If you want to connect multiple computers: one DSL router (approx. £50-£200)
Advantages
· Always on connection
· Can use a telephone and Internet simultaneously
· Wide variety of speeds and prices.
· Large choice of service providers (ISPs)
Disadvantages
· Available only in limited areas
· Speed vary widely
· Some providers have monthly download limits. (1GB per month …
After few checks and dig out I come across this:
This may not be your problem though, only what Microsoft suggest.
CAUSE of problem:
This issue may occur if the Security Accounts Manager file (SAM) is corrupted or missing.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, either restore or replace the SAM file.
Note you cannot use the repair process or the recovery console to resolve this issue. These methods require authentication, which cannot occur if the SAM file is corrupted or missing.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830574
Try this above dude and let me know how you got on, one more thing bear in mind you are working with server so if the above doesn’t help contact Microsoft or relevant IT support company that assist you.
Best of luck
Well after you have reinstalled WinXP:
Starting point would be usual suspect Microsoft windows updates, which sometimes takes an hour to download: (No matter what you need them).
Secondly what you will use your computer for?
1) Home use – Antivirus I recommend ESET Smart Security
2) Open Office (for excel and word and the rest)
3) Or buy Microsoft office 2003
These are my suggestions the rest is up to you chief.
Cheers

Thanks guys . I'll upgrade everything to MS Office 2003. At moment I have partial installed 2000(Office) and Office 2003.
Much appreciated all your assistance
Cheers
I ran Norton Anti-Virus and it didn't find anything.
Well to start you should, restart your PC or actually full reboot. When your PC start again if the icons are still missing, check on your desktop if there's something call desktop (Yellow Folder) inside this folder you should see all your icons.
If not then you proceed to run whatever antivirus software you might have.
I hope this helps
Thats because Outlook uses word components for the actual editing of email.
Huummmmm, sorry mate jbennet you didnt really answer my question?
Hi there,
Please can you assist or advise to this issue:
I have a user on Windows XP Pro, SP3, Ms Office 2000- Outlook (2003). Sometimes when he opens Outlook and word at the same time he gets the message or error below:
Faulting application winword.exe, version 9.0.0.2717, faulting module winword.exe, version 9.0.0.2717, fault address 0x00687673.
Solutions I have applied:
Disk clean up, renamed Word in registry and ran Ms Office repair. This normal fix the issue then works for while and the issue returns again.
Any suggestion or ideas how to resolve this could be very simple thing I just don’t know how to resolve it?
Cheers,
djmabeizy
