I always wanted to know this;
Where does space end, and if it does not end, where does it go?
"Without a politacal agenda"
is what makes all of it so inspiring
He is actually still going to be on campus once a week. He will absolutely have a large influence on the decisions made, and even though he is steppping down, MS will ultimately go in his direction. Good luck Bill trying to solve the worlds many problems. It sounds as though his charity work is tremendous. I am looking forward to seeing what he is going to accomplish!
I often think to myself....wow, I hate my job and the people I work for! I sometimes think I hate it so much that everyday I have at work is a bad day. I thought it would be fun to compare some of my bad day experiences with other peoples bad days. Then perhaps my bad day would not seem that bad......Anyone care to join? I will start:
I have three immediate bosses. One boss wants this done, another wants that done, while the third will say forget what the others said and do what I ask you to do. A bit confusing, but rather than all of them talk it out, they decide to complain about me not getting it all done at the same time! That happens often, but it was really bad yesterday! That was my bad day, who is next?
WELLLLL,
This is quite crazy in my books, but due to another power outage, this problem has fixed itself. Restarting the server never worked, but over the night, having the power out and the backups drained led to the server having a hard shut down. After firing it up this morning, everything is back to normal.........so I will mark this as solved!!
LOL im laughing at the word poop. That guy is just funny!
Poop
It is because if you say it when kids are around.....they laugh. And that is funny itself. Plus, everyone does it!
Tasty is how I describe the new Bud-Light with Lime!!
^ Chillin--Literally, it is flippin cold in my office and the thermostat is broke!!
< Wished the thermostat was fixed so I can turn off the flippin AC!
V Does your flippin thermostat work?
"Ribs....I had ribs for dinner....that is why I am doing this"
A quote from one of my favorite movies....any guesses?
And I really did have ribs...that is why I posted this-just so you don't think I am trying to hijack a thread..............lol
My mother passed away a few years ago.....she was at least honest with herself and let everyone know she was scared. But she also suffered, and was relieved at the thought of not having to suffer. She asked to die in her sleep and she did. She did not know what to expect, and who does. Of coarse if you know you are on your way out, you don't want people to be sad for you, but remember a relationship works two ways, so if someone you love dies, it is going to hurt.
I have also seen phony letters like these sent through email, but when you get a ginuwine message like that from someone you love, it is easier to handle than just thinking about some strangers words. If it is real-then she is thinking in a rather neat manner, if it is fake-then someone has too much damn time on their hands.....
This guy is gonna be drunk by the end of a DANIWEB day!!
Are you really who you think you are?
For starters, do a right click on 'my computer', then go to properties. The next screen that comes up will tell you all about your computer. Post that description. Where did you get your computer from? Do you have any general information about it? How old it is and a model number will be great, so let us know if you find any of it!
try the TrendMicro Housecall and let me know what comes up......you may have something that your AV is not catching.....it is good to double check on that sort of thing..
what do you mean when you say you looked at stuff in the command line...........
Just as an idea, have you ran a virus scan recently? If you have not, update your anti-virus, and then run a scan...it almost sounds like maybe you are being hit with a virus or trojan or something of that sort. If your scan comes up empty, try downloading TrendMicro housecall and use the free edition to scan. Let me know what happens!!
Did you buy the computer new, or used.....
Ok, one last thing to check for me......right click on start, then click on explore all users, under documents and settings folder, how many accounts does it show, and what are they.
No (not that talented)
Have you seen the movie Anchorman?
Well, lets try a work around....Open your word processor and try and access your documents from inside the program. Does it give you access that way?
If you can see sparks, and you wish to avoid a potential fire.....simply get a new monitor, that would be much easier than getting a new house!
Post what your processor is, what graphics card you have, how much memory you have and at what speed.....you will get plenty of help after you post this info!
I will say that it is completely possible. I can only guess that some manufacturers do not properly pack hard-drives for shipments and they get damaged from truck to truck. It happened to me with some maxtor HD's about a year ago....I went through three of them before I simply switched to seagate with no troubles at all.....good luck on your issue, it sounds like the guys above are headed in the right direction with you!
I seem to remember a lady posting a very similar issue. She found a support download from HP, and it remedied her issue. I will try and locate that post, but I cannot remember where and when it was posted. Also, in reference to Norton 360, yes even though it is updated, it will miss tons of stuff! I use it and I am not impressed. I also run TrendMicro housecall (free online). Between both of them, I seem to catch everything, I will repost if I ever find that other thread. Have a great day
Ok, can u check something for me? Or maybe a couple of things. Open your control panel click on user accounts. Is your login there? Let me know what shows up. The next thing I would like for you to check is this: Do a right click on my documents. Click on properties, then click on the securities tab. Highlight your user name, after you highlight, is the box by full control checked for allow?
Well, I was also rated at a walking heart attack!
Destruction; 98%
Throw distance; 93%
Overall; 95%
Quite entertaining!!
Well, first off, welcome to DANIWEB! Secondly, we are going to need you to post some additional details for you to get the best responses from other members. I will start by asking you some general questions, and then I will leave you with some suggestions.
What type of operating system do you have? Is this a home computer or a work computer? Are you on a network? How do you log-on to your computer?
Your issue could be coming from a number of places. Have you checked your user rights to find out if something has changed? Do you know if your user account has administrative privelages or not? Also, how many other users are on your computer?
I am taking a guess that your user rights have been changed (hopefully not due to a virus or other such junk) which could cause this sort of difficulty. Let us know some of these things, and someone is sure to post a solution for you!
You might try some control testing.....unplug your monitor for a few minutes and then plug it back in. You might also try connecting your monitor to a different computer to see if the problem is in the monitor itself. If possible, attach a different monitor to your computer to see if it is coming from your computer. Good luck to you and let us know how you turn out!
Well, here is my thought about the issue.....If it is not something that is feasable, why are so many of these fuel cell vehicles being produced by car giants? It seems to me that several of you have way more expertise in the production method of hydrogen than I do, and I respect all of the opinions given so far. Perhaps for me the idea of a new dependability is very attractive. I would much rather be dependent on ourselves for energy rather than lining the pockets of middle eastern oil tycoons (not that we don't have our tycoons here~USA~).
My prime reason for creating this post was to see who had knowledge and interest on this topic, and I am glad that several people have taken the time to share! I will definately be looking at this from a different perspective, and I hope that this will help me make a more educated decision when the time comes. Thanks to all, and I will continue my research on this!
I was just givin ya a hard time......I am not sure there are any movies out there that start with the number four anyway......but that is why I picked it! Have a good day man, and what a great movie you picked!
X-Men 3
If this doesn't work try a repair install.QUOTE]

sounds good, looks good....er...i mean.....yeah......sounds good!! LMAO
so how did the chkdsk go?
Dell may even charge you to get the recovery disks. But I am almost certain (unless they have changed their methods since I was a customer) they will not provide you a download site. Good luck with your issue!
to run a chkdsk-
start-run-cmd-chkdsk
it will then start the process
Pay no attention to my post #30. I must have typed it when you were typing #29! Funny
Sittas87 asked you earlier if you ran a chkdsk? Did you ever do that? If you did, what happened?
