This could be either the run32.exe virus or a scvhost.exe duplicate. Do you find that your taskbar changes from windows aero to windows classic unexpectantly by any chance? This may help with the solving of the problem?

this could be as simple as an explorer.exe error in the process list -> to a more advanced system 32 or scvhost.exe error. Have you checked your services list to see if the service for the explorer.exe is running efficiently?
