i can only imagine how many of the REAL engineers of India are even any good...

somjit{} commented: dont you think you're being a bit naive here ? +0
<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

@Jim, you can do that in a lot of countries... it doesn't cost very much.

So i would say that roughly 50% or less of the engineers from india are real?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

@iamthwee, you bring some very good points.

Believe me, this is far far more important to them then dating a Brad Pitt lookalike.

I am sure any girl would go crazy for a brad pitt lookalike.... just saying.

Try getting a job with a small private company rather than a well known company with a stock and billions in the bank. Big companies, as stultuske has mentioned, can be picky because they can afford it.

Either get a job with a small private company or start your own? Or do both? Maybe in a few years, when you are more experienced and have achieved a lot more, then try getting a job at a company like Amazon or facebook.

But remember, it doesn't hurt to try, does it?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

That is actually one of the most creative ideas so far James, nice job!

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

@Labdabeta, my grandparents say the same things (almost all of them) and they are also in medical (grandpa is a heart surgeon and my grandma is a plastic surgeon).

I would not trust the evergy drinks some of them are pure sugar and that will just cause a deeper crash.

Not all of them are pure sugar... some of them are just pure chemicals like rockstar, monster, 5 hour energy, red bull, etc...

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

I see the same issue with Safari and firefox on mac.

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

I don't think energy drinks have been mentioned, such as 5 hour energy, Rockstar, and Monster.

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

You can also allow someone to slap you... it helps, trust me. I let a girl do that to me if i doze off during history and english and she just eagerly slapt me (3x). It shocks you, that is why you stay awake

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

You have the right to have all the pups you want, just don't go past 101... :)

Make sure they are all dalmations with purple spots and have a daniweb collar:)

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

I am not sure if you solved the problem or not but the 2nd link doesn't work.

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Well, step 1 is to go to bed early. This will prevent you from getting drowsy.

Step 2 is to work in places where there is plenty of light, if it is dark, your eyes will get tired of keeping open.

Step 3, eat a good breakfast. Try to eat as many fruits as you can. they should keep you well awake and also have coffee (when it is necessary). Avoid junk foods. The best fruit to keep you awake would you be apples.

Step 4, try to avoid as many sedentary actions as possible. So try walking around or do some work outs when you wake up.

Step 5, take a cold shower... that should "shock" you and keep you awake.

I don't think i should've called them steps but hey, they all help out.

Good luck on getting into university. I'm sure you will easily get in with straight A's.

Haha, i wish it were that easy. Anyone can have straight A's but they also look at your SAT's and ACT's plus all of your extracurriculars (sports, activities, programs, etc.)

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Congratz Matt on making it into Oxford, I am going to apply to Harvard University/MIT when i am able to go to a university. So right now, i am maintaining my straight A's, extra curriculars, and I am prepping for the SAT (1 and 2) and ACT.

But anyways... the best gift i have ever recieved was my dog (small white maltese dog, pure white with curly tail/pig tail, probably a teacup/toy dog). That dog makes me happier by the day and it is my alarm clock on the weekends too :)... he wakes me up at around 4-5 AM on the weekends.

Here's a news flash. Nobody is allowed to terrorize.

150% true...

<M/> - You might be interested in this discussion that took place some tine back. Islam and logic

Not 100% true information shown up in that thread, but I do see some good points.

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Actually, they caught one... they killed the older one.

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Unfortunately the two bombers were Muslims, so there will be quite a bit of hatred going around.

tell me about it... muslims aren't allowed to terrorize and you are to commit a major sin if you do terrorize. Unfortunately Osama left a bad impression of our religion. But luckily, there won't be as much hatred as before (9-11).

I dont really like windows 8, to be really honest it looks like a tacky upgrade of windows 7.

It is but if you haven't used windows before it would be a great experience, mostly with the touch screen features.

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Currently it would be windows 8 and the Max Os X operating systems.

They are the best because they are getting very popular and they work really well.

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

I forgot to mention, they believe that the 2 bombers slayed an MIT campus officer.

Here is the time line of events:

I also found out that the bomber was a Jewish Woman.

Where did you hear that, i thought they haven't found the suspect yet?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

I just heard that one of the people who died was an 80 year old. He was going to see his dad after the race, but sadly he coudn't :(. I also found out that the bomber was a Jewish Woman.

I also heard that the 8 year old who died had a younger sister who lost her leg. I feel bad for all those that were hard physically and mentally during this event.

No need to turn this into a religious/political/philosophical argument.

I try not to bring it up but unfortunately North Korea has been causing way too much problems for the US. Plus, North Korea said a few times they wanted to hit us with something.

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

You give them too much credit -- I doubt that dictator is that smart

Well... lets just hope this problem doesn't lead us to war again. I heard the current dictator failed grade school.

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

You are correct HiHe.

I am not sure on that... you can always reference a code snippet as long as you have provided credit to the company/creator, right?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

I believe the suspect has not been caught yet... Anyone want to have a guess who it was?

I would say it was a dude who couldn't pay his taxes or the North Koreans trying to get Muslim countries guilty for what the Koreans did.... Sorry, i am playing the finger pointing game now.

Also, the injury amount i believe is 144 and the death toll is 3, amongst them was an 8 year old.

Could you post the source for this? all I've heard is the 2 confirmed dead, although one news channel was occasionally posting 3 dead. Would like all the information I can get.

I have read it was 2, but i was "listening" to other people's devices in school and it kept saying 12.

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

The kill count has risen up to 12...

Try to have as many REAL users as you can. Basically, always have a way of allowing users to access/operate certain parts of your site if they are a member of your site. Or you can use the above.

(I think I am a bit too confusing.)

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

i don't think w3schools is the best resource... but it is a start...

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

It is helpful to have your own site because you can test your "projects" on the browser and see how it displays on a web page. It is best if you had a site to test your projects on unless you don't want to.

For a light weight editor, go for Notepad++.

My personal preference is going to be NetBeans rather than jCreator. It is much more simple and is more well known (if you say Oracle is very well known).

But agreeing to an earlier post, there is not such thing as the best. there is only YOUR preference.

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

what do you mean by score of a thread? Amount of rep points given in the thread?

If so, i don't think people would like it because if a thread is ranked to low it will be abandoned and no one will answer the OP's question or if it was a popular thread it would be spammed with useless posts. That is just my output...
