Hi, I am an absolute beginner to Xamarin and just started to develop a small application wherein, I am not getting any idea about why the BindableProperty changes are not getting reflected inside the view model. Presently, I have written my BindableProperty in a separate Class and the code is as follows: public static readonly BindableProperty IsValidEntryProperty = BindableProperty.Create("IsValidEntry", typeof(bool), typeof(MaxLengthValidatorBehavior), false, BindingMode.TwoWay); public bool IsValidEntry { get { return (bool)GetValue(IsValidEntryProperty); } set { SetValue(IsValidEntryProperty, value); } } protected override void OnAttachedTo(Entry bindable) { bindable.TextChanged += HandleTextChanged; base.OnAttachedTo(bindable); } void HandleTextChanged(object sender, TextChangedEventArgs e) { IsValidEntry = false; IsValidEntry = …

I've been trying to archive my xamarin.android project for publishing but I keep getting this error: Error MSB4018: The "LinkAssemblies" task failed I've searched this error and tried the suggestions that I came across and none of them worked. One weird thing I noticed though is that when I set the build configuration to Debug instead of build Release the project builds and runs perfectly fine. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

We want to start mobile development (starting with Android). Our two most likely candidate tools at this time are Phonegap and Xamarin. I'd like to hear about any thoughts on and experiences with either of these packages. Am trying to decide what to use for a first prototype (business software). Any thoughts on Android Studio or IntelliJ are welcome too, although I'm not too found on programming Java.
