I have recently been thinking about installing Vista on my Compaq Presario V5305WM notebook computer. The problem is, I am almost out of hard drive space. So I am wondering if I should get a bigger hard drive, install XP with my recovery CDs, and buy Vista. Anyone have any suggestions for this? I'm not quite sure what I should do. I would really like to have both XP and Vista on my laptop.

yeah its called dual booting but will be costly you will need to buy a full (not upgrade) copy of vista. If you do it as an upgrade from xp, and then reinstall xp, then microsoft will ban both keys.
Bigger hard drive might be a problem too. Your xp recovery CDs are probably setup so they will only install on that manufacturers hardware (to prevent piracy) so changing the disk might mean they wont install
