I've submitted my site in various directories with a anchor text, After that if i search using that anchor text,i get confused result.

That is, i get only the URL's of the directories in which i submitted my site earlier.But i didn't get my site itself :surprised :surprised :surprised :surprised

That means those pages are more relevant for those search terms in the eyes of Google. You have to keep in mind there are a lot of factors in determining a page's rank. You have to do more then just links with anchor from those pages. A lot more....
