As described, strong placement in Google and MSN but not appearing in Yahoo is common. was right that engines differ — and an important modern context is that Yahoo search results have been driven by Microsoft/Bing since the Search Alliance era (Yahoo! Search). That means troubleshooting should focus on Bing-oriented indexation and link signals, not only repeating basic on-page advice already posted.

A concise diagnostic workflow:

  • Confirm indexing with site:example.com searches on both Yahoo/Bing to see which pages are known to each index.
  • Verify the site in Bing Webmaster Tools and use its index/URL inspection and crawl logs to spot crawl errors, unexpected redirects or non-200 responses.
  • Check server logs for bot traffic and HTTP status codes to detect blocks or misconfigured redirects; also inspect page-level signals such as rel=canonical and meta robots that could keep pages out of the Bing index.

Backlink and local-signal checks often explain cross-engine gaps. Compare inbound-link profiles with third-party tools to find large differences in anchor-text mix or many low-quality links. For a mortgage business, local presence and structured data matter — claim the business in Bing Places and ensure NAP and schema are consistent across authoritative directories.

A final note: suggestions to buy a Yahoo Directory listing are now obsolete — the Yahoo Directory was discontinued in 2014 (Yahoo Directory). Because Yahoo now reflects Bing, improvements show up most reliably after addressing indexation/crawl issues and the backlink profile; those are the areas to prioritize when Yahoo/Bing visibility lags despite strong Google placement.

If you are ranking top in Google and MSN then surely you must also be in Yahoo too....
anyway i will suggest you to do following :

*)Use keyword enriched titles on each page of the site.
*)Place keyword enriched text in the first paragraphs of your site-copy.
*)Add a sitemap page and be certain there is a link from the index page to the sitemap.
*)Use HREF links to direct Slurp through each page of the site.
*)Use robot.txt files to keep Slurp out of your shopping cart or log in pages.
*)Acquire strong, relevant incoming links from sites with topics similar to yours.
*)Update your site frequently.

Not true. The three major search engines use very different algorithms and thus produce very different results. Even the largest websites can have issues ranking well in all three.

Is there anyone out there who can help me get in yahoo?? I have been trying for 2 years now and no answer.

Buying a listing in their directory will help. Unfortunately that isn't cheap.
