The thread makes clear the goal: platforms that let a developer build and actually earn money, not just host files. called that out; correctly noted that plain web hosting is a different thing; pointed out social-network routes (which can pay only if you bring traffic or advertisers); and raised the cross‑platform API idea — useful historically, but adoption and terms vary today.

Practical ways to reach paying users are split by distribution channel. Mobile and OEM app marketplaces for non-iOS mobile ecosystems remain the primary consumer route; their developer programs cover publishing, in‑app purchases, subscriptions and policy requirements (see Android distribution & monetization)[https://developer.android.com/distribute/]. For businesses and stores, ecommerce/CMS marketplaces let you sell apps or extensions to merchants — example platforms and docs are here: Shopify app platform and WordPress plugins.

Integrations and bot platforms are another clear path: productivity/chat platforms and game marketplaces let small teams monetize with paid add‑ons, premium bots, or one‑time purchases. Start with each platform’s developer docs (Slack, Discord, itch.io, Steam, etc.) and pick the audience that matches your idea — hobby gamers, store owners, enterprise users, or chat communities.

Quick practical checklist: pick one channel and validate demand before building full product; choose monetization (paid app, IAP, subscription, ads or SaaS billing); use a payment processor for direct sales (Stripe docs)[]; read the target platform’s developer terms and tax/fee rules carefully; and prototype with a simple web proof‑of‑concept to confirm acquisition cost and retention before scaling.

are you looking for a web hosting service? If yes, there are hundreds of them. Just google for it.

i just wander if there is more platform like this on the web

You can always be a myspace developer but that only makes you money if you get advertisers yourself. You can always make an app where you charge for something extra; though I don't like those. I am a myspace developer.

I think Google, Ning, and a bunch of other platforms have entered into some sort of consortium (OpenSocial) allowing applications to be shared across many platforms. Here's the link that will help you: http://developer.ning.com/

ok cool
now i found that Amazon offer ws/rest api that u can use to try and sell and then you could get money on every sell they make that directed by u
