If the blog is on Blogger (Blogspot) the cleanest options are to unpublish, remove the blog from your account, or delete the associated Google account. Each has different consequences, so choose carefully.

  • Unpublish (safe, reversible): In Blogger go to Settings > Basic (or Settings > Posts, comments and sharing on older UIs) and choose to remove the blog from public view or set it to private. This keeps content intact so you can restore later.
  • Delete the blog (permanent to Blogger): In Blogger, go to Settings > Other > Delete blog. Blogger offers a downloadable XML backup before deletion — export first if you might need posts or comments later.
  • Remove a custom domain: If you pointed a purchased domain to Blogger, remove the DNS records at your domain registrar and unassign the custom domain in Blogger to avoid the site continuing to resolve.
  • Delete Google account: This disables all Google services (Gmail, Drive, Analytics, etc.) and deletes any Blogger blogs linked to it. Only do this if you want to remove everything tied to that account.

Troubleshooting tips:

  • If the blog shows errors after deletion, clear DNS caches and wait for registrar DNS changes to propagate (can take up to 48 hours).
  • Export your blog (Settings > Other > Back up content) before making irreversible changes.
  • If you cannot access the account, use Google Account Recovery first; if you must remove the blog and cannot access recovery, contact your domain registrar to unmap the domain.

These steps assume a Blogger-hosted blog. If the blog runs on another platform (WordPress.com, self-hosted WordPress, Tumblr, etc.), the deletion/publishing steps differ.

Just diactivated your gmail account,I assumed you use blogspot that automatically relate to gmail account.

Simply go to your blog and unpublished this. And if you have purchased any domain just request to your server to remove your blog.

JUST log in to your blogspot or blogger account and remove your blog from there.
