Hello, everybody,
I’ve been wearing the "ecom manager" hat for the past three years at my company, and to be honest, I feel like I’ve plateaued. I know how to handle the day-to-day stuff: keeping the lights on, the basics of pay-per-click, responding to customer tickets. But when I look at doing some of the more strategic stuff, like optimizing our whole product line, experimenting with new types of advertising, figuring out some way to execute in international markets, I just don’t have the bandwidth or the expertise.
I’m seriously thinking about outsourcing our entire Amazon business to a specialist agency. The dream of a dedicated team to take care of everything from list optimizations and forecasting to full-funnel advertising is really tempting.
“Has anybody here transitioned directly from management within a company into a full-service agency? I would love your candid perspective on this:”
Was there ROI on that investment? Did you find value in terms of growth and time recovery?
How did you research agencies to find a partner rather than just another vendor to work with?
Horror stories or success stories?
Among the services I researched, the one touted as the gold standard is the Amazon Full Account Management service. These are the agencies which always top the list as the very best in the business in the USA for giving complete and full control. If you have worked with an agency providing this service, I am all ears.
Caught between the need to control and the need to scale. Any advice is welcome.
