Brief diagnostic guidance for capacitive navigation keys that behave differently when charging: the symptom usually points to either a software issue (an app, a firmware glitch or corrupted system cache) or a hardware/electrical issue (capacitive-sensor grounding, charger/USB interference, loose ribbon or moisture). Start with safe, non-destructive checks and only move to resets or opening the phone if software steps fail.
Troubleshooting checklist:
Technical note: capacitive buttons sense changes in capacitance relative to the device ground. A charger can alter that reference or inject noise, making a failing sensor or poor grounding behave differently when connected.
Following 's line of thought, check recent installs and use Safe Mode first. As considered, a factory reset is a last resort after backup. If the problem persists across chargers and in Safe Mode, the issue is very likely hardware and requires repair.

There's an app called "AppMgr III" that allows you to view your files by installation date, among other things. (somebody might be able something better, I've never needed to use this)
