i am an IT officer for a small computer and we have been using the dell optiplex machines for sometime now but we are now facing some problems with the machines and i really need help. i have tried removing the RAM, checking the power supply and bios but these problems still holds. please someone should kindly give me a hand. the major problem here is the amber light. thanks

Jump to PostDo you mean that the power LED is amber? If so, problem is either power supply or motherboard.
Inspect capacitors on motherboard for signs of swelling (tops should be flat) or leakage. Pay special attention to those around CPU socket.
Swap power supply.

Also try replacing CMOS battery -- just in case.
