Hi all I would like to know if anyone knows of a software or hardware thatwouls allow multiple instances of a single software.
Problem need to display 26 screens of diffferent information.
information is not complex powerpoint level.
normal solution 1 pc per VGA
want to reduce number of pcs (for space)
is there a multi monitor solution allowing different insatnces of a simple display program?

is there a pc that can run several versions of cards or os to get round this.

My issue is space rather than cash

Well- 26 separate displays might be stretching things just a bit, to say the least, but any limitations in that area may start at the application layer. To begin with, for what exact piece of software do you need this functionality?

I use both scala and in this instance had thought to use powerpoint or something similiar .. open to suggestions.. and tralise I will need more than one PC .. just wanted to avaid 26 pcs

Are all 26 displays showing different information, or is there some commonality involved?

no all different for intance any one may be showing open closed next customer or VIP only .. plus an attract loop inbetween

I think you're asking too much of a single system. There are specialist display cards available which can drive a number of individually unique displays, but they're expensive. Also, as suggested by DMR, I think you'll be running into problems at the OS and Apllication level.

Are all these displays permanently displaying their own unique screens of information, with no user input whatsoever? Does the information actually need to be requested for display?

I suspect what you really need is a central server, providing the database for terminal machines to use. Each terminal would only need to be a pretty basic system, powerful enough to simply run the Application and log into the database of information. Wouldn't need to be all that much more expensive than 26 separate monitors.

This is bascally what we do now.. what I was looking for was trying to cut space and machine number by running more than on instance on dual or more cards from each pc used.. even if I get two feeds from one machine I 1/2 the space..

Do you need to accomodate user input from each terminal point?
