Running on ME, had to do a complete reinstallation. Now I find the web-cam will not work because the software is apparently not all there in spite of it all being OK before the reinstall. The webcam installation processes seeks a csnpstd2.dll file which I cannot see listed under Drivers and cannot find on various web-sites either. Have DirectX 9 installed and all current ME updates from Microsoft.

You should have a driver disl for the webcam, and should install the device using that.
Otherwise, you will need to visit the product manufacturer's website and download the driver for the model and Windows version you have there. What make/model of webcam is it, by the way?
