hi,
my monitor is 17" viewsonic G73fm. i saw its specs on the net which said that it supports 100hz at 10/7 res. a friend of mine told me that its unsafe to operate at 100hz. what could possibly go wrong?

Jump to PostYou are stressing the monitor more by running it at a higher refresh rate, but if it's a supported rate at that particular resolution (see manual) then I wouldn't worry too much. If you're paranoid then just stick with 85Hz which still produces a nice solid image.
