Alright. This belongs from the 'other peripherals" part.

I have a Netgear WG111v2 wireless USB adapter connected to my tower. Now, my tower's motherboard is kinda old; it doesn't have a single PCI-e slot, and it has USB 1.0....that's right, no modern USB ports! And the modern ports don't get enough juice from it to run properly.

So, I'm happily playing games, online since it was meant for that, and it just stops working. It gets really hot and my computer needs to be rebooted for it to work; the device is still hot, but the internet continues merrily for another hour or two! So I'm doubting it's heat.

But, I played games offline then decided to go online. No go.

What might be the problem?
