Since recently my DVD Drive is not recognizing any CD's or DVD Disc. The drive shows up in My Computer but when i put a cd in the drive light comes on briefly and then goes off and it does not run the dics. Does anyone know how to fix this problem.

I am having the same problem as the guy you responded to. I can't put a lens cleaner cd in my non-working drive because the drive doesn't recognize the disc so I can play it and clean the lens. Or does it work even if the drive is not recognizing any media?
