is there such a thing as a 2gb memory module for a laptop? i got a laptop off ebay the other day, in the item description it said it could take 2gb of memory, but there's only 1 slot
i don't need 2gb of memory, but i don't like being taken for a ride by a con-artist either

yes u can buy them, but.....
normally a laptop will have 256mb buildin onboard for you, so 2GB - 256 will leave you 1.756gb
and u cant get that so one and only one way is upgrade it when u buy the laptop, they will put 1GB ram buildin and 1GB in the slot for u
just to remind you, 2GB is Max u can have, so even u go to buy a 2GB module, the buildin 256 will be wasted.
