i installed an ati rage II video card in a e-tower 300 the system devices shows it is working, but when i plug the monitor into the connector i get nothing at the monitor the monitor will work when plugged into the connector on the motherboard i had previously formatted the drive and installed XP is there a switch or setting, or is it possible the card is no bueno

You need to disable the onboard motherboard graphics in the BIOS to use the graphics card you got.
