I have HP Pavilion dv6516tx Entertainment Notebook PC.

Its DVD drive reading CD, DVD.
Burning CD.

But when i try to burn DVD its not burning.
Is their any way i can check if hardware is working properly or not.

Is it due to any software reason?

Or its hardware fault ?

Is the drive definately a DVD burner?? It will say on the front of it if it is.

I had created DVD before from this.
But now its not burning DVD.

So is their any way to check my DVD burner hardware is Ok ?

Or their is some conflict in software ?

If you plan to put windows 7 on it, do that first, then sort the DVD burning if it's still a problem as windows 7 may cure it!
