i have tried sevel different programs to burn audio cd's or mp3's and all i end up with is a blank disc. even if i stick the disc in a dvd player it is blank. i do not know who made my cd-rw drive but will let you know who windows says is the manufacturer.

in cd-rw properties/hardware:
manufacturer(standard cd-rom drives)
name: cd-r/rw cw089d cd-r/rw

software used for burning cd's:
nero burning rom
roxio easy media creator 7

the recording tab in cd-rw properties:
enable cd recording id checked
the write speed is set at fastest

if you have any idea how to fix this issue please help. it would be greatly appreciated

You sure youre not performing a simulation and are actully writing the CD? Nero has an option called simulate wherein it will not write data, but simulate a disc write.
