Hi,
Hope someone can help. I have a NC6000. It keeps freezing while in the middle of working, not on any one programme, could be anything, and after 3 mins, or half hour. To rule out O/S errors, i reinstalled XP on it, it all went in fine, was running for well over an hour while it loaded it, then, when i started to load programmes, got the Blue screen of death, just flashed up so didnt get error code. It then froze again. This brings me to the conclusion that it is a faulty HD, unless someone out there can tell me other wise, like could it be motherboard or HD controller?

Not sure but it was a driver issue. You weren't able to install windows if you have a faulty hard drive. Remove the drivers or programs one by one until you find the culprit.
