I'm trying to set up a NAS made by tritton technologies that someone gave me. Im trying to plug it directly into my computer through an ethernet card to configure it. Ive been following all the steps from the guide at http://support.trittontechnologies.com/downloads/NASxxx/ and then some.... I reset the nas to ensure that the ip address was 192.168.1.252 According to the nas finder utility, it is there, with the correct address. If i ping that address, I get no responses. Both LAN lights are on on the nas indcating it is connected and the blue HB light is blinking as it should. I cant see the files on the nas on my computer no matter what I do. the guide at http://support.trittontechnologies.com/downloads/NASxxx/NAS_QuickStart.pdf says I need to set my computer to a static address of 192.168.1.xxx, but my router only allows me to use 192.168.2.xxx This is something I dont know how to overcome, but am not quite sure why it would matter when the nas is directly connected to my computer. Any ideas or help on why I cant see the nas or its files is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time, Matt
