toshiba laptop will not come on none of the three LEDs come on could it be the battery I was switching users when it went completly dead thanks.

Jump to Posthold down the power button for about a minute or so and wait to see if it turns on. if that doesn't work plug in the power adapter and try again. If that doesn't work, take out the battery and do the same.

I have seen some laptops that won't boot when the battery goes [physically] bad.
I agree with 'theNNS' - remove the battery completely and try it with just the power adapter.
