My Mom's computer, using Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition has mixed up icons on the desktop. Sometimes icons will switch places or change to something completely random. The little white arrows that let you know the icon is a shortcut seem to change to random graphics as well. What's going on?

Microsoft released a little program called TweakUI which has a feature in it for fixing the exact problem you are having. You can get it here:

Note: This version of TweakUI is for Windows 98 and its relatives only - if you want to download a version compatible with Windows XP, go here instead:

Good luck ;)
