Hi guys, I have a slight problem (well obv or I wouldn't be posting)...

The situation is.... I have xp pro on my pc atm, and i want to install my new Vista home premium, thing is I'm not a complete expert with pc's and so formatting is an issue, I'm not sure the best way to format it , and i don't have any other disks apart from the vista home premium disk that came today....

Sorry for being a nuesance :S

Be sure to back up anything you want to keep before you start.

Simply boot from the Vista disk and follow the prompts(license, I agree...) and when you get to the type of installation, select Custom. At the next screen you can choose to format the existing partition or delete partitions, etc.

This guide may help.
