Hey guys,

My vaio had XP installed when I got it, but I yesterday I formatted the whole harddisk and installed the new Vista.
I installed all drivers an programs that were designed for my notebook from the vaio support web, also upgraded them for Vista, as I had to.
However, the FN-key doesn't seem to work.
This computer always had a problem for that key, because it is all software controlled, however I tried everything I know, but no hope...
I wouldn't care for this FN function only if the brightness of the display and volume buttons were not controlled by FN-key.

I also tried changing thekeyboard settings from the bios, but no chance again.

Shouting: Help!
This 100% brightness killed my eyes! :)

Looks like I solved the problem:

because the setup files are designed for XP, before opening the setup.exe files you go to options>compatibility and select windows xp, then it installs it.
