Hello guys!
My Sony PCG-K45 laptop needs to have a full restoring as in the time it was new from the factory. I just dont know how to do it! Please help me!
Another Issue is the Windows Validation!
I bought this Laptop about a year ago on ebay and of course it had to be a bad copy of the windows, only if I knew it before I bought it!
After I ran my Windows Validation this program tells me to buy a genuine version of Windows, but it is spendy. What should I do?
Please Help! :)
Thank You

Restoring a Sony VAIO back to factory condition requires either the recovery partition that shipped with the laptop or official recovery media. Back up all personal files first: a factory restore wipes the C: drive. Export browser favorites, save email archives, and note any purchased software keys or configuration you want to keep.

Check whether the VAIO recovery tools and partition are still present. With the laptop powered off try the ASSIST button (many VAIOs) or repeatedly press F10/F11 at boot to launch recovery. If Windows still runs, look for "VAIO Recovery Center" in Programs or open Disk Management and look for an OEM/RECOVERY partition. If available, use VAIO Recovery Center to restore the C: drive — it will often give the option to create recovery DVDs before erasing the disk.

If the recovery partition or files are gone, practical options are: (1) order official recovery media from Sony (they will need your model/serial and usually charge a fee), or (2) reinstall the exact Windows edition shown on the COA sticker on the laptop using matching installation media, then install Sony drivers. The COA sticker on the bottom is the authoritative product key; tools that read the key from a running system (as suggested by ) only show the currently installed key and cannot prove genuineness. As and pointed out, a properly licensed installation is required for activation, updates and support.

After restore or reinstall, run Windows Update and install drivers from Sony for model PCG-K45, then create recovery media and a full backup so future restores are straightforward. If activation fails but you have a valid COA, phone activation with Microsoft can usually resolve the issue.

You must buy a license. If you don't, we cannot help.

Go online and get this free software called SIW(SYSTEMS INFORMATION FOR WINDOWS) This will tell you all keys, and hidden keys on your system.
if you cant find keys, then you will have to by operating system.
