Since a CD and a DVD are essentially made out of the same materials, is there a method other than using a compression program, such as PKZIP, to have a CD store more data than what the label says it will?

U might overburn some cd media, but that will gain u just a few megabytes, or can produce a coaster :)

Some Plextor burners manage to burn up to 1.3Gig on a 700MB media with their high density writing. However, no other cd drive is able to read those cds :)
