Why does my computer take so long to load? And it freezes at times.

I have a compaq 3200 computer. It takes so long to load. Then it freezes at times. Does anyone have any insight into this problem. Also, what is a tag? Thank you. Roxie148

it could be a overheating problem, or a Trojan,a bad hard drive ,bad ram/video fan the list goes on .

Also, what is a tag?
a tag could a lot of thing ,[its the thing on you luggage with your name on it for instance or that annoying kid who no matter what you did ,still tag[ed] behind you .lol] please use it in a sentence

Do you get an error when it freezes?
Have you run any kind of maintenance programs?

Download, install, run CCleaner -- this will clean up your system
Download, install, run Defraggler -- this will defragment your hard drive
Download, install, update, run Malwarebytes -- this will check for malware
Select >Start >Run -- type msconfig, go to the Startup tab, count how many items are checked in the list, reply and tell us how many.

Also if you decide to run the above tools, please post your results.
