Hi Guys,
Help needed.. Friend of mine has a Compaq 6710b laptop that got infected with virus(es) and he turned the machine off. Now when we try boot it back up it gets to the windows blue screen (just before logon screen) and reboots itself... It will do this for normal mode and safe mode

When I use the Windows Repair from CD... It says NO Hard Drive found which is strange as it does get to the blue screen when booting from the HD.

Any ideas on how I can fix this problem ?

I think this problem occurs because of hard disk problem.
check your hdd in other laptop.and if your hdd is sata then try to connect in pc.
and check is working or not.if detected then use reinstall option from windows cd.
