Can anyone tell me what this is error message refers to when attempting to load xp pro onto a new hard drive.

Jump to PostIs this a fresh installation? And is another XP installation visible to Windows Setup? Because the file you refer to is RCPCORE.msi, a Roxio installer.
Don't allow your new installation to see the old one before it has completed.
