I've got a 3 month old laptop that just decided to slow down...5 minutes to boot up, sticky mouse movements, stuttering sound. I've always used and antivirus. I've run all the usual spyware checkers and found nothing. Process Explorer shows most of my processor use at idle (or doing little) is from hardware interrupts. Any ideas? :?:

Did u try trimming your startup list? Have only necessary programs loading at boot, you cud start with the firewall and AV. Also check ur drive for junk just to be sure and also check the fragmentation. How much RAM u running, if its low, tht can be another reason for sluggishness

Also run disk Defrag... that could help a lil bit
