We have Outlook running on Windows XP, it got corrupted and now can't recieve new email. But we can send mail, so our connection to the SMTP server must be alright. We tried deleting and reinstalling Outlook from the Office 2000 CD (but didn't reboot) and din't fix the problem. All the other settings look OK. Has anyone heard of a more thorough way to uninstall Outllook?

I just found the fix for this. Delete the mail account, close and re-open Outlook, re-add the mail account. Now all works.
