My problem is simple but I can't find a solution,

I have 4 folders that i want to organize in the format of mm-dd-yyyy for example the folders are

02-26-2007
01-01-2008
01-07-2008
02-27-2008

when I try to sort the folders by any combination it keeps going to the following order

01-01-2008
01-07-2008
02-26-2007
02-27-2008

no matter what I do I cannot fix this, i understand it shows the same month but it's different years so shouldn't 2007 be before 2008 if anyone has any solutions i am all ears, I am running windows 7 32bit home edition

just make the year in the front, month in the middle and date is last, such as 2008-01-01

The reason for this is that Windows alphabetizes the folders, starting with the first characters in the name.

If you want to organize by date, try yyyy-mm-dd
