Hello. I am wondering if it is possible to use a windows 7 upgrade disk on a windows 8 machine. I know you can do a clean install with an upgrade disk, but I am just wondering if upgrading a windows 8 machine to a windows 7 is possible.

No, that isn't possible. If you give the default 'Metro' a little time, you will adjust to it and even get to like it. :-)
But, if it really is not your cup of tea, then try the suggestions made here at CNet. The idea is to strip back the features that makes Windows 8 so very different to its predecessors.
