Gave C C Cleaner a try following excellent reports but I now find that it has
removed all open tabs in Firefox on Vista laptop.
This happened last night.
Is there any way to retrieve?
Thanks.

not sure what you are referring by open tabs ,as you are suppose to have firefox closed when you run Ccleaner ,so how could you have had open tabs ,
Cclener need to be setup by you ,to remove what you want and dont want it to remove

Hi Caperjack.
Sorry, I can understand your puzzlement.
I was referring to the tabs that were open before I exited Firefox.
When I restarted they had disappeared.
The only advice that I was given about CC Cleaner was to make sure to
uncheck cookies so that I would not lose all my login information for
numerous sites.

i use firefox as my main browser ,and any tabs i open [except for the 3 i have set as homepages ]never open again on reboot after i shut down firefox

In Tools Options General you set:
When Firefox Starts: Show my windows and tabs from last time
and it will always open with your previous windows and tabs, no
matter how many you had in use.

ok,so they would have been kept in a chache i suspect and ccleaner cleaned that when it ran ,gone

Is there any way to retrieve?

Not this time.
To retain your tabs, go into CCleaner preferences and uncheck the Firefox preference 'Session'

OK.
Will do that now.
Thanks nullptr.
